Shure SM86 Vocal Microphone

The Shure SM86 is a rugged, unidirectional (cardioid) condenser microphone that withstands the rigors of touring while delivering studio-quality sound. It features a tailored frequency response for clear reproduction of vocals in professional live performance applications. The cardioid pickup pattern isolates the main sound source and minimises unwanted background noise while the built-in three-point shock mount minimises handling noise and a two-stage pop filter reduces wind and breath "pop" noise.

Shure's legendary SM vocal mics provide a perfect balance of high output and broad frequency response with minimal handling noise in a nearly indestructible design that ensures remarkable reliability and consistent performance. Shure SM microphones have come to define the sound of live performance. Sound engineers have relied on SM products on stage and in concert halls for years making them standard sound equipment for venues worldwide.
