Selecon SPX 36 Degrees Fixed Beam Luminaire

The SPX is an outstanding new ellipsoidal profile design thats been developed to meet the evolving needs of 21st century entertainment lighting practice. It delivers many innovative features while retaining the intuitive controls, beam angles and appearance that's familiar to theatre technicians everywhere.

Seven different interchangeable lens tubes, available seperately, all share an optical system that's the first ERS to fully exploit the output and successfully manage the high heat associated with the latest generation compact filament 800W lamps.

The SPX delivers more light to your stage allowing you to consider energy the saving options of using lower wattage lamps or lower dimmer levels. Detailed Features

Selecon SPX Fixed Beam Planetary Gear Lamp Adjustment

The SPX features a central planetary gear to enable effective yet intuitive control of the Peak:Flat light distribution across the light beam. This makes it simple to adjust the light beam from flat and even across the beam for gobo projection to a high intensity peak that is brighter in the centre of the beam for stage washes.

The SPX has a precise tilt lock mechanism to reduces wasted time and the frustration of that is caused by 'focus slippage'. Reference scales are provided for the adjustment of the tilt position and the full 360-degree beam / pattern / shutter rotation to enable the settings to be recorded after focusing and preset before focusing if lighting design software that provides the values for the desired settings is being used.

Selecon SPX Fixed Beam Shutter Lock

The shutter mechanism on the SPX features an integral shutter lock. After adjusting the shutter cut simply slide the lock handle across to secure the shutters and prevent them moving.

Safety First - The lamp module has a built-in safety switch that automatically disconnects the power when the lamp module is removed from the luminaire to change the lamp. The lamp socket, safety switch and electrical wiring are contained in a separate lamp module, isolated from the direct heat of the lamp to protect those components and reduce maintenance costs.

Heat Management

Selecon SPX Luminaire Heat Management

The heat management system in the SPX uses dichroic mirror technology and a compartmentalised lamp house that effectively exhausts hot air away from the most heat sensitive components of the luminaire. This provides maximum lamp and lamp socket life and reduces maintenance down time and costs.
